Almost Home Dog Rescue is a non-profit, foster-based, all volunteer rescue organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilating dogs at risk and in danger of an untimely death.  They all share the passion of helping these homeless dogs who don’t have a voice, who won’t have a chance, without organizations such as this one, helping them to a new beginning.  It is their mission to seek out dogs where there is need, to bring them to us where they are placed in loving foster homes and prepare them for their forever families. It is also their mission to prepare our adoptive families for a smooth transition and a better outcome.  Their community outreach program will offer New Adopter classes whether you adopt from them or not, which is amazing!

Almost Home Dog Rescue's impact extends beyond rescuing and rehoming dogs. They actively engage with the community, hosting adoption events, fundraisers, and educational workshops on responsible pet ownership. One such success story is Penny, a mama dog who was found abandoned at a gas station. Thanks to Almost Home Dog Rescue's care and attention, Penny not only regained her health but also found a loving family eager to give her the love she deserved.  And guess what?  It was us, your Little Landmines family!  Penny was with us for 3 wonderful years before she succumbed to an aggressive cancer.  We made sure those 3 years were the best of her life, and we miss her dearly!
