Section title: Welcome to the Monthly Scoop. Welcome to this issue of Little Landmine’s newsletter! It’s January– time a brand new year! We wish you an AMAZING 2026! The Monthly Scoop is where we share contests, giveaways, trivia, Adoptable of the month, and more. Keep an eye out for future newsletters, as we’ll be featuring different topics each month. We welcome any feedback for what you would like to see! Let’s make this fun!
Giving Back Corner. Did you know Little Landmines donates $5 per new client each month to a local charity or organization in need? For December, we donated to the family of Officer Snook, who was killed in the line of duty in December. We also donated 1000 poop bags to Faithful friends for their shelter pups, and some toys to those in need. For January, we will be taking a month off to try and do a fundraiser to get our scholarship off the ground again! We really want to award another student before the end of the school year! This section includes small illustrations of a police hat, a donation box filled with toys, and a cartoon poop graphic.
2026 Changes to Our Policies. We continue to work as a family, not a franchise! Historically, we’ve shown up on the same service day each week for most of our clients, and in practice, about 95% of visits still happen on the estimated service day. That consistency matters to us, and it isn’t changing. What is new is that services now officially operate within a 24-hour window before or after the estimated date shown in the app. This clarity helps us keep our prices the lowest in the area, route more efficiently (less fuel, less waste), pay our techs above industry standards, and continue donating time and money back into our community. Same service. Same frequency. Same care — just clearer expectations and a more human approach when life happens. We’re also REMOVING standard first-visit cleanup fees. Your first visit is priced just like any regular visit, unless the cleanup takes more than 30 minutes due to heavy buildup. If extra time is needed, simple time-based pricing applies. No automatic upcharges — just fair pricing when extra work is truly required. This section includes a small illustration of a dog and a clipboard labeled policies.
Trivia Corner. What is the soft spot on a puppy’s skull called? Hint: both human babies and dogs have one! Submit your answer to [email protected] for a chance to win a free visit up to $25 or a Little Landmines teeshirt! This section includes a small cartoon dog illustration.
Adoptable of the Month. This section features a photo of a gray mixed-breed dog with expressive eyes named Elphaba. Elphaba is a charming mixed-breed girl who’s ready to “defy gravity” straight into your heart. Come meet her and see why everyone who does ends up saying, “Because I knew you… I’ve been changed… for good.” She is available at the Brandywine SPCA in New Castle, DE! This section also includes a QR code labeled Scan Me and the Brandywine Valley SPCA logo.
