The Q&A

Picture
What exactly do you do? Little Landmines is a professional poop-scoop service that comes to your house to pick up dog waste in your yard. We handle pet waste removal for much less than you might think!

How often can you service my property? Although most people find that scheduling dog waste removal once a week is ideal, we'll work with you to arrange a schedule that best suits your needs. Our pooper scoopers can visit your yard twice per week, every week, every 2 weeks, once a month, etc.

How will I be billed?  Your invoice will be simple and predictable because we use monthly averaging, which allows us to charge you the same amount each month.

For example: $20 per visit multiplied by 52 weeks (for weekly service)
Equals: $1040 for the year.
Divide $1040 by 12 months, and your monthly bill will be $86.66, each and every month. This allows for predictable billing so you're always sure what your fee will be every single month.

Invoices are sent out towards the end of the month, to pay for services that will be performed the following month. For instance, at the end of January you will receive your February invoice. Your February invoice will need to be paid before February 1st, and your service will continue as scheduled. In the absence of pre-payment, we sadly won't be able to service your home until payment is made.

Will you be at my property on the same day each week? In most cases, yes. Situations like weather conditions and holidays may cause us to deviate from our schedule on rare occasion!

Should I unlock my gate? Your pooper scooper is instructed to never climb or jump over fences. Please have the gate unlocked on your scheduled service day. If you have a gate lock, you can also provide us with a key or code to enter if you'd like!

Can you work with my dog in the yard? We love dogs and we love seeing all of their smiling faces in our travels! However, if your dog isn't happy with strangers, or it becomes apparent that your dog won't allow us to clean the yard, we'll ask that you temporarily bring your pet inside while we perform our pet waste disposal service. If no one is home or there is no answer, we'll contact you and try again on your next scheduled visit!

What do you do with the waste? We bag, then double bag the dog waste and put it right in your trash can so you don't have to think about it! If your trash cans aren't accessible from outside of your home, just let us know where you'd like us to leave the goods! (i.e. next to your garage, or on the back porch, etc)

Do you have a weather policy? We work in all weather, winter, spring, summer and fall. In the case of extreme weather (heavy precipitation, temperatures below 32 degrees, or above 90 degrees), we may need to skip a pooper-scooper service. As a rule, we don't credit any visits skipped due to extreme weather conditions, as we expect to pick up twice the amount of dog poop the following visit.

Do you have a seasonal policy? As you can imagine, winter brings special challenges for your dog and our pooper-scooper service. If there is only a dusting of snow, we can usually find what we're "looking" for. If it snows more than that, we may have to skip the week’s scooping. When we do get back into the yard there will be a much bigger job to do so we charge your usual amount. There may also be obstacles throughout the year preventing us from finding all of your dog’s poop other than snow. A good example is leaves or high grass. In the summer we kindly ask that you keep your grass below 6 inches so we can do a great job for you! If your yard isn't maintained regularly, we can only pick up what we see, but we will try our hardest to spot those camouflaged landmines!

Are there any extra charges for the first service? Yes, our initial visit takes the longest amount of time, since we'll be removing all pet waste that has accumulated in your yard over time. All of our pricing can be found on our pricing page!

Are there any contracts to sign? We can start and stop your pooper scooper service at any time with just a phone call or an e-mail. We don't require contracts, there's no minimum service period, and there's no advance notice required to cancel service!

Do you have a referral program? Yes, we do! Tell your neighbors about our pet waste removal services, and if they live in the same development and decide to use our poop scoop service, you'll receive a free visit! Just our way of saying thank you for your support!

Do you offer other services like cat litter box cleaning, dog walking, or pet-sitting? We don't offer these services currently, but we are working on implementing litter box cleaning as we speak! We do have a few pet service friends and general resources that we like to recommend. Feel free to ask us our thoughts!
